Energy Bytes strive to disrupt the coffee and energy drink market, with tasty caffeine gummies that deliver an equivalent boost. I was brought on as the key graphic designer for the team to elevate the product appeal to a new target market. I led campaigns, created new assets and aesthetics, and optimised their outdated material to achieve this goal.
I have experienced working with this brand previously, and was brought back onboard after a target market change and packaging refresh. Much of the design process relied on my response to client feedback through design. I made fine adjustments to the icons and typography on the packaging, and then designed new printed media from the ground up. I created postcards and point-of-sale stands to better communicate the unique use-case of the product to customer in-store. My "1 gummy = 1 espresso" graphic became a key component in the identity of the brand going forward.
Being responsible for the website design required me to look at the brand as a whole, and understand the expectation each customer would have arriving at the page. The brand’s numerous streams of marketing dictates each customer could have a very different understanding of the product when arriving at the page. I also had to design with the technical restrictions set by the team web developer in mind.
Email marketing designed to showcase the perks of the product. Looking closely at analytics, I was able to optimise layout and aesthetics to get the best response from the customer. Following design optimisation the campaigns achieved amazing statistics, for example an email open-rate of over 50%.
